Joseph Freeman
Joseph Freeman is a musician living and working in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He obtained his Bachelor's of Music Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2020 and currently teaches at Cadek Conservatory of Music at Girl's Preparatory School. His primary instruments are guitar and tuba.Joseph has had formal training on classical guitar under Adam Hale at the Center for Creative Arts, as well as jazz guitar under Stephen Brannen at the UTC. In addition to his formal training, Joseph has pursued his interest in rock and metal, playing in the deathcore band, NeedleBreather.Joseph studied tuba under Brent Alverson at McCallie and Dr. Kenyon Wilson at UTC. He has performed with the All-East Junior and Senior Clinics, the UTC Marching Mocs as both a sousaphonist and drum major, the UTC Wind Ensemble, and the UTC Symphony Orchestra as both a member and a soloist. He has also performed for local weddings and events, including the Chambliss Center for Children Mardi Gras Parade and UTC’s commencement ceremonies.His past work experience includes working as the Community Music Educator for R.I.S.E. Chattanooga and as a music instructor for the Creative Arts Guild. He has also worked with local marching band camps and as a session musician and accompanist.
